Worship :: Services
For the children's ministry at 10:00 a.m. each Sunday we are hosting HOLY MOLY. Invite your children and grandchildren to come and check us out!
St. George's is air conditioned and the church is wheelchair accessible.
Services are normally from the Book of Alternative Services [ BAS ]
Our Worship is Eucharistic, meaning we most frequently gather to share the Holy Eucharist (also known as Holy Communion and the Lord's Supper). Baptism is considered the prerequisite to sharing in communion although no one is ever turned away. The Anglican Church has felt that the sharing of the bread and the wine is central to our sacred communion. There are however many practices surrounding the wine; some drink from the chalice, others dip the bread carefully into the wine, while still others refrain from consuming the wine altogether. All these forms of receiving communion are proper practices; it is your choice and preference that must guide you.
If you are unable to get to the front for communion, we will be happy to bring it to you in the pews.
If people experience a period of being "shut-in", we have home communion ministers who will bring communion to your home immediately after Sunday worship. If you would appreciate this ministry, please speak to the rector or the church office.
Music has always been an important part of our 10:00 a.m. worship service and Janet Cringle is our Music director. We have a wonderfully faithful choir who add much to the leadership of worship. The choir is always interested in welcoming new members.
For those new to the Anglican style of worship, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
Above all, we hope that your experience is a blessed one; that you experience the presence and love of God for you.
